A RARE GEORGE II MAHOGANY TEA CHEST
ATTRIBUTED TO LANDALL & GORDON, C.1750-60
of canted rectangular bombé form, the hinged lid with a brass handle revealing a zinc lined interior with three divisions, the front with an engraved brass escutcheon with a central cartouche with a concealed keyhole relased by a button to the underside of the caddy, flanked by stylized birds, with a secret drawer to the right side of the base
15.8cm high, 30.2cm wide, 19cm deep
