inlaid with stringing and amaranth banding, the arched top with leaf carving, with a pair of lancet astragal glazed doors, enclosing green pleated silk and adjustable shelves, the secretaire fitted with pigeonholes, drawers and a central deep drawer, with penwork swag decoration, with a later leather writing surface, above three further drawers with silvered paktong handles and ivory escutcheons, on swept bracket feet, with two ivorine trade labels for Moss Harris 'M. Harris & Sons, 44/52 New Oxford ST. London'
