A George III sampler, Elizabeth Pearses Work September 1785, worked alphabet, numbers and verse, cherubs, insects, animals, centred Charles II hiding in the oak tree with two attendants below, flanked by a castle, a three storey house and a windmill, the name flanked by peacocks, with a scrolling border, 15.5 x 12.5in (39 x 32cm).
