A George IV sampler, Martha Longton, Worked This Sampler In The 15th Year Of Her Age 1829, worked flowers, birds and lions above a four part verse 'Love and Duty to Parents', above a two storey house with railings and gate and flanked by Adam and Eve and another couple by a tree, possibly Martha's parents, to a further lion, stag and plants to a scrolling strawberry border, 19 x 15.5in (48 x 39.5cm).
