A George III needlework sampler by James Eleanora Brown, October 13th 1795, worked with an alphabet and numbers and 'There is nothing of so much worth as a mind well instructed.', 8.25 x 12.25in (21 x 31cm), in a later glazed frame. Repairs. Provenance: Bought from Anthony Scaramanga Antiques, Witney, Oxfordshire in 1979.
