A late 19th century French black marble mantel clock
A late 19th century French black marble mantel clock, the eight day movement striking on a bell, the backplate stamped '3725 8', the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and a visible Brocot escapement to the recessed centre, above a calendar dial with subsidiary day and date dials and moonphase, flanked by a pair of thermometers, 39cm high 34.2cm wide.
Provenance: A Scottish aristocratic family and by descent.
