After the antique. A late 19th century French bronze model of the Albani vase by Barbedienne, the base signed 'F.BARBEDIENNE', on a serpentine plinth, 24.2cm high.

The original marble vase was discovered at the Villa Albani, Rome and in the Barbedienne catalogue of 1886 was titled as 'Cratere vase consacre a Bacchus'.
