An early 18th century style japanned bureau bookcase, all over decorated with chinoiserie, including figures, flowers, pagodas and boats, all on a yellow ground, the double domed top with a pair of bevelled mirror doors, enclosing two shelves, above a hinged fall, fitted with green painted pigeon holes and drawers, around a central cupboard door with secret pilaster compartments, the base fitted with two short and three long drawers, 205.5cm high, 95cm wide, 52.5cm deep.
