showing the marriages culminating in John Hay, Earl of Tweeddale, Lord Yester (later 1st Marquess of Tweeddale) and his marriage to Joanna (or Jean) Scott, daughter of the Earl of Burlough, on 4th September 1644, detailing the previous four generations going back to the early 16th century

John Hay, 1st Marquess and 2nd Earl of Tweeddale (1625 - 1697) was appointed Lord President of the Scottish Council in 1663, Lord Chancellor of Scotland from 1692-96 and Lord High Commissioner to the Parliament of Scotland from 1694-96.
