the brass eight day movement with a platform lever escapement striking on two bells, with a silvered dial with black Roman numerals, engraved with flowering foliage to the centre and spandrels, above a cartouche inscribed 'E & S WATSON / King Street / CHEAPSIDE', the gilt brass case with a bevelled glass top window and four bevelled panes, with a foliate cast handle and scrolling floral and trellis decoration, on a spreading foot engraved with trailing flowers
