A German oak chiming mantel clock
A German oak chiming mantel clock, the eight day movement by Winter Halder and Hofmeier quarter striking on two gongs, the backplate stamped 'W & H, Sch 3', the arched brass dial with a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals with a subsidiary slow / fast dial and foliate spandrels, in a gilt brass mounted case on paw feet and with side carrying handles, late 19th / early 20th century, 48.7cm high, 29.8cm wide, 22.8cm deep.
