Cricketing interest. A matched pair of Victorian Staffordshire pottery figures of cricketers, one a batsman defending his stumps, the other a bowler, with polychrome decoration and gilt line bases, 35.3cm high (max). (2)
These figures are thought to represent famous cricketers of the Victorian period, the batsman is believed to be Julius Caesar who played for Surrey, the bowler is believed to be George Parr who played for Nottinghamshire.
