After Bernard-Gabriel Seurre (French 1795-1867). A 19th century French bronze figure of Moliere, the writer seated holding a book and pen, on a black marble base, the underside with a handwritten paper label, 12.3cm high, 14cm wide.
The original sculpture can be found at the junction of rue Moliere and rue Richelieu, Paris.
