A collection of twenty-four microscope specimen slides by William Watson & Sons, including: 'Gold Nuggets', 'Peacock Copper'. 'Pollen of Mallow', 'Embryo Oyster', 'Wing of Clifton Blue Butterfly', 'Apple moth'. each with a circular printed label for 'W. WATSON & SONS, 313 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON', in a deal case, late 19th / early 20th century, 21cm wide, together with a Victorian microscope slide of the portraits of engineers at the Menai Straits Conference, previous to the floating of one of the tubes of the Britannia bridge, including J.K. Brunel and Robert Stevenson, in an associated leather box. (2)
