A 19th century 'Crimean War quilt'

A 19th century 'Crimean War quilt', with allover lozenges cut from military uniforms, 82.5 x 78in (209 x 198cm). These soldier's quilts were made from the uniforms of the soldiers taking part in the Crimean War during the 1850's. The strength needed to sew and concentration played a large part in the convalescence of many wounded soldiers.
