An early 19th century satinwood and marquetry chest, the applied moulded edge top crossbanded in rosewood, the centre inlaid a female figure lying amongst bulrushes, above two short and three long graduated drawers the corners decorated with palm fronds, on bracket feet, the back with a paper label inscribed 'A. W. Shaw Stewart', 35.75in (90.9cm) h, 43.5in (110.5cm) w, 21in (53.7cm) d. Possibly Scottish.
