A mid 19th century French black leather and brass toilet box by L. Schmitt & Navarre

A mid 19th century French black leather and brass toilet box by L. Schmitt & Navarre, the lid with initials 'C C L' and the interior with a silk lined letter pouch inscribed 'L. SCHMITT & NAVARRE PARIS 25 RUE CHAPON', revealing a mirror and bone handled manicure utensils, above a tray with divisions fitted with cut glass silver topped jars and bottles, each with engine turned decoration and the initial 'L', flanked by a pair of slide out trays holding various utensils and revealing brushes and a shoe horn, with a needle book, 11cm high, 41.5cm wide, 22.7cm deep, with a canvas storm cover.
