A George III 12in (30.5cm) diameter terrestrial globe by Cary's, with twelve engraved and handcoloured gores, inscribed 'CARY'S NEW TERRESTRIAL GLOBE, DELINEATED From the best Authorities extant, Exhibiting the different Tracks of CAPTAIN COOK and the New Discoveries made by him and other Circumnavigators, London, Sold by Je Ramsden, No.199 Piccadilly, Jan 1st 1798', with a brass meridian circle and papered horizon graduated in degrees with the months of the year, the points of the compass and the zodiac, the Pacific Ocean with an analemma, on a mahogany tripod base, 25in (63.8cm) high.
