A rare William IV miniature gilt brass carriage timepiece attributed to James McCabe
A rare William IV miniature gilt brass carriage timepiece attributed to James McCabe, the brass movement with a horizontal mounted rack lever escapement mounted on the backplate, with a finely floral engraved back cock, a diamond endstone, with a three-arm balance wheel and with slow / fast regulation, blued screws, inscribed 'No. 107', the circular silvered dial with Roman numerals and engraved with scrolling foliage, with blued steel moon hands and with a subsidiary seconds dial, the Gothic style case decorated with pinnacles and arches and with engraved niches with saints and coats of arms, with a fan top and hinged foliate handle, 9.7cm high (excluding handle).
