Two needlework samplers

Two needlework samplers, comprising: a George III example by Mary Strettell Edridge, worked with letters, numbers and the alphabet, crowns and flowers, signed and dated '1788' and a Regency sampler by M. English, aged 12, worked with verses, a lion, trees, birds, baskets of fruit, butterflies and urns of flowers, signed and dated '1812', both unframed, 43 x 33cm (max). (2)
