A VERY RARE PEWTER IMPERIAL QUART HAYSTACK MEASURE WITH BRASS PLAQUE

touchmark of Joseph Austen & Son, Cork, (fl. c.1823-46) under the base, a brass plaque with ‘AUSTEN & SON CORK’ over an armorial device with lion and unicorn supporters flanking a crowned shield, and ‘MANUFACTURERS’ below, a ‘1 QUART’ curved capacity stamp to upper body front and with two verification marks
