An early to mid 16th century boarded oak small chest
An early to mid 16th century boarded oak small chest, with incised geometric decoration, the interior with traces of a till, on solid trestle ends, 12.5in (31.6cm) h, 27.25in (69.1cm) w, 11.75in (29.9cm) d. Hinges later, old damages to left side, probably reduced. A similar chest was salvaged from the Mary Rose, sunk 1545, with incised decoration.
