An 18th century rectangular stool, with a later floral needlework cover, on mahogany square tapering legs with carved fish scale panelled legs on block feet, 19in (48cm) h, 27in (68.5cm) w, 21in (53.5cm) d.
Provenance - By decent through Gwendolen Theresa Talbot, daughter of Charles John Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot, 19th Earl of Shrewsbury whose family had owned Alton Towers and Heythrop Park.
