An Anglo-Indian sandalwood and sadeli workbox

An Anglo-Indian sandalwood and sadeli workbox, Bombay, of sarcophagus shape, carved with buildings, monkeys, exotic birds, flowers and foliage with bands of sadeli, ivory and ebony, the hinged lid to a fitted lift-out tray with six lidded compartments, a plush pin cushion, ivory bobbin holders and a thimble, the lid fitted with a mirror, with brass side carrying handles and on brass paw feet, mid 19th century, 6.5in (16.5cm) h, 13.5in (34.2cm) w, 9.5in (24cm) d. The thimble lid missing.
