A 19th century Italian ebonised and hardstone mounted cabinet on stand in 17th century style, with ivory stringing and gilt metal mounts, with a stepped and niched surmount with urn finials, above a faceted sided cabinet with eight short drawers flanking a central rectangular cupboard with arched cornice and flanked with marble columns, with a fabric lined interior, above a further drawer, on lion mounts, the stand with an inset frieze and spiral twist supports, the panelled back with a scagliola panel representing St. Peter's, flanked by fluted pilasters, on a moulded plinth base, 84in (213.5cm) h, 41.5in (105.5cm) w, 18.25in (46.5cm) d.
