After Desiderio da Settignano (Italian c. 1428-1464). A late 19th century plaster relief of the Virgin and child, with angels, by Domenico Brucciani & Co., remains of signature bottom left, with traces of terracotta finish, 68.7 x 51.7cm.

Provenance: From the collection of Sir Frank Brangwyn, his home The Jointure, Ditchling, East Sussex. The house and contents were purchased on his death by the father of the current vendor and amongst them was the present lot.
