A late Regency plum-pudding mahogany breakfront library bookcase, with a detachable moulded cornice above adjustable shelves in five bays with cluster column supports, the crossbanded base with a pair of central arched panel doors enclosing sixteen drawers of varying depths, fitted wood knob handles, flanked by banks of four drawers with cedar linings and fitted wood knob handles and a further pair of panel doors, each enclosing ten drawers with wood knob handles, all flanked by cluster columns on a deep plinth, 110in (279.5cm) h, 152in (385.5cm) w, 26.5in (67cm) d.
