A pair of George III mahogany knife boxes, inlaid barber's pole stringing, the hinged crossbanded tops revealing a parquetry star and fitted a matrix, to a serpentine front with white metal handles and escutcheons, 14in (35.3cm) h, 9in (22.5cm) w, 10in (22.5cm) d. (2) Some veneer loss and large cracks to sides.
