A George III 'North Country' mahogany secrétaire chest, fitted with an arrangement of pigeon holes and kingwood banded drawers, with a parquetry banded pen and ink drawer and a burr elm cupboard door enclosing four further drawers, with a later baize lined writing surface above three long drawers flanked by Corinthian column gilt brass and fluted quarter pilasters on ogee bracket feet, 111.8cm high, 107cm wide, 57cm deep.
