A fine George III 'Chippendale' period mahogany and satinwood tea chest, inlaid with chequer and barber's pole stringing and decorated with fretwork style segmented panels, the pagoda hinged top with a cast gilt brass handle revealing an interior with three satinwood pull-out tea canisters, with stained green sycamore banding and inlaid with a marquetry conch shell, with a sliding lid, on ogee bracket feet, 16cm high, 26cm wide, 13.9cm deep.
