A japanned musical longcase clock, the eight day three train movement with four turned pillars and an anchor escapement, striking on a bell with a graduated set of eight bells and with a five centimetre pinned musical cylinder, the square dial with a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals with subsidiary seconds dial, inscribed 'J Windmills London', with a matted and engraved centre with cast cherub spandrels, with an arched hood and with japanned decoration with chinoiserie scenes of figures with pagoda's, birds, trees and bridges, with a later plinth base, 217.8cm high.
