After Carle Vernet (French 1758-1836). An early 19th century single length of wallpaper by Jacquemart and Benard, from the 'Chasse de Compiegne' series, colour woodblock print depicting a hunt in full cry, 300 x 109cm.

The Chasse de Compiegne series was first manufactured in 1833 for the English market and the complete scene comprised twenty-five panels in total.
