A near set of four 19th century mahogany armchairs
A near set of four 19th century mahogany armchairs, each with a curved top rail above turned pole backs and ring and baluster turned supports, the scroll arms to a dished seat, on turned stretchered supports, one inscribed to the underside of the seat ' AD Sav-la-Mar', possibly Jamaican. (4) In need of restoration. Sav-la-Mar or Savanna -la-Mar is the chief town and capital of Westmoreland parish Jamaica, the design of the chair echoes Boston rocking chairs.
