A George I walnut and burr walnut bureau cabinet, cross and feather banded, the moulded cornice above a a pair of mirrored doors, enclosing two shelves, above pull-out candle slides, the hinged fall revealing an interior fitted with pigeon holes and drawers, with a sliding well cover, above four long graduated drawers, on later bracket feet, 195cm high, 97.8cm wide, 59.6cm deep.

Provenance:

Mallett & Son, purchased on January 17th 1919 for £80.

Recently removed from Gavelacre House, Longparish, Hampshire.
