A black lacquer chinoiserie chest, with raised gilt and red decoration of figures, pagodas, trees and flowers, with diaper borders, the hinged lid revealing an interior with a later lift-out metal liner, with a pierced and engraved brass escutcheon, 19th century, 50.5cm high, 121cm wide, 51.5cm deep.
