A George III mahogany longcase clock by George Quarman Bristol, the eight day movement with an anchor escapement and four turned pillars striking on a bell, the 12 1/8in silvered arched dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, with engraved flowers and inscribed 'GEORGE QUARMAN TEMPLE CLOUD', the arch with a painted moonphase and inscribed 'HIGH WATER AT BRISTOL KEY', the hood with a swan neck pediment and brass urn finial with blind fretwork decoration, with a shaped trunk door and outline mouldings, with presentation plaque to inside of trunk door, 241cm high.
