An early 18th century Japanese Imari bowl
An early 18th century Japanese Imari bowl, decorated in red, blue and gilt with houses amongst flowering trees, cloud-shaped cartouches with landscapes and a band of flower sprays above the foot, the well with a central vase of flowers, mounted with Louis XV style ormolu fittings, 43cm wide.
Provenance: A private English collection. Purchased from Colin Stodgell Fine Art, 29th February 2000. Copies of the original invoice and certificate of authenticity are available.
