A late 17th century Italian cedarwood and ebonised cassone
A late 17th century Italian cedarwood and ebonised cassone, with poker and penwork decoration, with Biblical panels taken from Genesis, with scrolling borders of ribbon tied garlands of flowers, fruit and figures, the hinged top revealing a conforming decorated lid, inscribed 'Anno 1686', with a lidded till, on bun feet, possibly Venetian, 84.2cm high, 193cm wide, 68cm deep.
