An early 18th century japanned side chair

An early 18th century japanned side chair, with gilt highlights, the vase shape splat back decorated a chinoiserie scene to a drop-in needlework seat on cabriole legs united by a turned and block 'H' stretcher and on pad feet, the japanned decoration possibly of a later date. An old chip and losses to front left foot, old worm holes and degradation.
