Ten walking canes, comprising: an early Victorian cane made from the wreck of H.M.S Edgar, exploded and sunk 1711, the brass handle inscribed 'With A. Siebes's Improved Diving Apparatus, 1844, Recovered under the Superintendence of Lt. H. Barlow R. E.'; a carved wood boxer dog's head handle and with a silver ferrule indistinctly inscribed, a horn handled cane inlaid brass stars and a vacant cartouche, a continental white metal handled cane with a malacca shaft, an antler handled example, a bamboo cane with a crook handle, a palmwood cane and two others, 39.5in (100cm) l, max.
