An early 19th century needlework sampler, by Edith Smith Cross, worked with a large country house, flanked by trees and putti, with butterflies, deer, urns of flowers, trees and verse with a floral outer border, 18.25 x 18.5in (46.5 x 47cm) within a later glazed and bird's eye maple frame.
