A Chinese lacquer table cabinet

A Chinese lacquer table cabinet, decorated in gilt with panels of figures in domestic settings, within foliate bands, the hinged top to a divided interior above a pair of panelled doors inset painted soapstone plaques with exotic birds and flowers, enclosing three drawers with sunken brass handles, the lower drawer fitted a writing slope, on fluted bun feet, c.1880, 17.25in (43.6cm) h, 13.75in (34.5cm) w, 9.5in (24cm) d. Some hinges need re-fixing, the top compartment needs attention.
