the quarter veneered cross and feather banded fold-over top revealing a baize lined playing surface, with counterwells and candlestands, on shell and lambrequin capped cabriole legs and claw and ball feet

The design of this table relates to similar examples made by Benjamin Crook, joiner and cabinet-maker of St. Paul's Churchyard. See Christopher Gilbert, 'Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840', p.169, fig. 265 for a table by Crook with a label in the drawer.
