A late 19th century Samson porcelain and ormolu mantel clock in Louis XV style, modelled with an elephant painted in the kakiemon style of the Chantilly factory, the brass movement inset into a fluted cup, with an enamel dial with Arabic numerals within a leaf and flower case, 19cm high, 13.3cm wide.
