A Victorian octagonal brass and glass anti-blotting inkwell, the rim is decorated with leaves and flowers and stamped 'ANTI BLOTTING INK STAND REGISTERED MARCH 21ST 1853', the interior with a pair of shutters designed to remove excess ink from the nib when dipping, 17.5cm high, 9cm wide.
