A French novelty porcelain inkstand, in the form of a thousand Francs note, the Banque de France officials ironically signed with Arabic names, Mustapha, Saladin and Aroun-Al-Raschid, mounted with a brass inkwell, the lid in the form of French coins, with a glass liner, the base with maker's mark 'G.D. Paris', late 19th century, 24.5cm wide.
