A Victorian bronze and copper circular inkwell by Elkington Mason & Co., the hinged lid decorated with an electrotype depicting the 'Judgement of Solomon', the interior with a glass well and liner, the base stamped 'PUBD BY ELKINGTON MASON & Co 11', 17.3cm diameter.
Jessiah Mason joined Elkington in 1842 and the name was changed to Elkington Mason & Co. until 1861 when the partnership was terminated.
