A Regency burr yew sarcophagus shape tea caddy, inlaid boxwood stringing, the twin lidded compartments with turned ivory handles, with embossed gilt brass ring handles and feet, 6.75in (17cm) h, 8.75in (22cm) w, 5.25in (13.2cm) d. Veneer loss and degradation to varnish, lids warped. Provenance: J. H. Gillingham, Old English Furniture, 1 & 5, Harrington Road, South Kensington, S. W. 7, sold to: Captain H Lloyd, The Royals, 29 Berkeley Square.
