An elm and oak tavern table, the cleated single plank elm top above oak 'X' shape chamfered supports united by a conforming stretcher, 19th century but reduced in size from a larger table, 28.5in (72.3cm) h, 84in (213.5cm) w, 23.25in (58.9cm) d. Provenance: Bought by the vendor from the sale of antiques belonging to Countess Hamon by Messrs. Wyatt & Son, 'Woodend' West Stoke, Nr. Chichester, 24th April, 1947, lot 140.
