An Egyptian revival oak folding stool , the leather covered top above ebony and ivory inlaid carved ducks' head supports, 13.5in (34.2cm) h. This is a copy of an Egyptian folding seat, New Kingdom, c.1250 BC. A variety of pieces in this vein were produced in the 1920s by the Madrasa Craft School.
